Although the recession has hit this year and made changes to serveal things it would seem that Christmas is one of them. This is partly because people are trying to save a bit of money and partly because a lot of the kids have already got the things they really wanted the year before.
The best thing to do is sit down and think about it. All of the boys toys like the computer consoles such as the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii have been out for almost a good 5 years now which means that most of the people that are after these kinds of things have in fact already got them.
So your little girl may want something like the newest barbie or the new Go Go Hamsters that have somehow been pushed out as the best selling toy this year. What is it that parents are looking to get their kids this year?
Well believe it or not in most cases technology is out this year and parents are looking for more traditional toys like the 12ft trampoline to give to their kids this year.
Although the trampoline is not as cheap as a lot of people think it is, it does promote children to get a bit of exercise which is fun rather than constantly telling your kids to come out for a walk with you and other such things.
Other gifts that parents are looking at getting their kids this Christmas are playset.
Keeping the kids weight down may sound a bit harsh but it is very important as more and more children are being classed as obese now. If there were more parents out there that actually went out and started to get things like this over consoles then it would be fair to say that obesity would fall.
However is this really what we want for all of our kids, do we just want them excercising all of the time or do we want them to do what they want to do. All in all the decision should be yours to make.
