I want to sell wholesale and retail, but don’t know how to market the catnip toys I make. The catnip is homegrown and I make every toy myself. I’m not good at selling my own things, so I need pointers on the best way to approach businesses and cat lovers.

put up a display at the humane society for sale, when people adopt a cat they can buy a toy.
I did this at a local vets with cat and dog stepping stones and they didn’t take any commission, so you may try a display at vets offices.
Just ask them if they would be interested in helping you get into a new catnip toy business, chances are they won’t refuse you.

Id go to the local vets offices, pet stores and humane societies and start by asking if you can put up an advertisement, or if you can put up a display to sell there, and donate portions of the proceeds to the place. also try starting a webpage, so that if you cant sell at a business, but you can advertise, people can always buy online.

Contact local vets about your organic cat nip toy.
They may want to sell them.
Pet shops may be interested in re-selling also.
Put an ad in your local paper in the pets section.
Set up a table at your local flea market.
Have a home party. Invite cat lovers and show your
line of cat toys. Serve some refreshments and have a raffel at the end for a prize or 1/2 off the persons purchase.

If you can find a local craft show, you might be able to sell the toys there. You can go to smaller pet stores as well and sell them. Send out flyers to houses in your city. If business gets so big that you can’t make enough toys yourself, consider enlisting some people to sew some as well, and pay them a part of the profit. Hopefully your toys sell well!
