There are some toys that you can just wash with soap and water; however, there are some toys that you should clean with bleach.

Hi, Working In A Nursery We Clean Our Toys Every Week.
We Have A Large Basin, Put The Toys In With Boiling Water And Milton Tablets.
At The End Of Every Day Toys Are Wiped Down With Diluted Dettol.
    Hope This Helped!

Fill the bath tub with hot water…add bleach. If toys are not water proof use clorox wipes. They rock.

Fill the sink or bathtub with hot water, add bleach (about 1/2 c to a sink full of water, 2-3 cups to the bathtub) and soak the toys in the bleach water for 20-30 minutes, rinse and dry.

Dreft makes a toy disinfectant spray now. It’s PROVEN safe even if your child chews on the toy. Yet it still gets rid of bacteria.

Get a 4 gallon bucket and fill it with water. Then put in i think 2 tablespoons of bleach in the bucket. Put the toys in it and let them soak for 5 mins. Then take them out and let them air dry.

If a child puts toys in their mouth put it in bleach water for 5 mins and then let it air dry. Keep a small bucket out of reach and do it when you see it happen.

NEVER have toys that can’t be washed around toddlers!

I agree with the others - water and bleach. But please not every day! Kids need some germs.

Definitely use bleach water. One of my teaching classes was about communicable disease and they said we had to use bleach water. You only need about a capful or two for a whole gallon. Don’t make it too strong or it will bleach your clothes or carpets.

Go to the dollar store and get some of the mesh laundry bags, preferably white. These bags have the holes in them so the bleach water gets in, but it makes you get more toys done quicker. Also have a plastic bin for the bleach water.

Lay the toys out on towels to dry. We would put down a couple of shower curtains and then would put some towels on top. They’d be dry the next day.
