you can get a mesh fish net and hang it up in a corner and put the soft stuffed toys in there. I would give a few toys each week and perhaps one or two favorites and let them play with them, no more than they can pick up and put back. Kids have too many toys here in America, I’ve traveled to north Africa and some have no toys, play with rocks and when they have something like crayons or a tennis ball they play with them constantly and care for them.

Wish I did, I have 4 kids and still have not found the answer-lol. Its really hard. I keep mine in the basement out of reach, out of sight and like you give them 2 or 3 a day. But somehow more seem to make their way up…and on my living room floor

It’s not about denying them toys to keep clean, it’s about consistently forcing them to pick up after their done. If you can do this, gradually they do it without too much prompting.
Having said that, I can tell you it’s harder done than said….but there it is.
As for organization, we bought one of those small shelving units at IKEA with the little colored tubs and sorted toys into the tubs, and go through it maybe once a year to weed out the unused toys.

There are those hanging sock organizers you can get at the dollar store.
There are also collapseable ones that are round too.
Whatever the kids don’t use, store ‘em there.
(Eventually most of the stuff will go in the G file if you know what I mean)!!
