In my own personal opinion I have to say that the N64 is the best console ever to be made. There are many reasons for this and they come from great games, nostalgic reasons and because it is a console people will always go back too.
Great Games
Although still sticking to the cartridge based game I have to say I have far more decent memories of playing on my N64 than my PS1 and this is simply because almost every game to be released onto the console was amazing.
Banjo Kazooie
This game by Rare is up there among my favourite games of all time, I will always go back and play this one. The reason it worked so well is simply because of the fantastic use of level design, and platform game play. two other main games have been made with the last one being an exclusive to the 360. Although the third one was a little bit disappointing it still turned out to be a great game.
Mario 64
This is one of the best selling games and most loved games of all time having sold over 11 million copies, it was the biggest selling game on the N64. It is also one of those games that revolutionised the way that people play games nowadays with many people being amazed by the games stunning 3D graphics.
There are so many other games out there on the N64 worth playing, anyone remember Ocarina Of Time and Goldeneye. The reason that this console is just so popular with me is simply because I grew up playing the thing and although the same can be said for the PS1 I just think that this has and will be Nintendo’s finest moment.
Before you buy your kids anything think about reading toys reviews and gadgets reviews.
So there it is really, simple, the best console to be made!
If you do not agree then maybe you need to spend a bit of time playing the console, you can still find it around although not many people like to sell them on.
