toys
Romeo asked:

What do you think about the recent recalled toys? Several weeks ago, a toy called Aqua Dots was recalled due to chemicals that are the same to date-rape drugs. Several kids were affected by this — they went into a coma for 5-6 hours.

What would be your solution to prevent this?

My solution — have companies come back to the U.S.A. and hire Americans. Go back in time and stop Clinton from taking bribes from China.

The responsibility of the problem has 2 parts:

    One:
It is the manufacturers responsibility to enforce stricter standards of product quality when having products made overseas in the best interest of thier consumers.

    Two:
Parents should pay closer attention to what their children are doing with their toys, allow their children to have age appropriate toys only and use common sense.

Many of the recent recalls could have been prevented with #2. I mean… Aquadots, recommended for ages 5+ yet one of the main cases in Australia was of a 10 year old getting sick.. if the parents had been paying attention then maybe a 10 year old would have known better than to eat her toys.

Or how about Bumbos say directly on the product not to use on a raised surface… but why did they get recalled.. because people went ahead and put them on tables and chairs (ie surfaces that are not the floor, hence raised surfaces) and subsequently their children got hurt.

A childs safety is EVERYONE’S responsibility.. so people need to stop pointing fingers and act responsibly.
